Senior Civil Infrastructure Engineer – Birmingham City Centre

£45K to £57K + Flexi Working + Exe. Benefits

Birmingham, West Midlands based civil and structural engineering consultancy require a Senior / Principal Civil Engineer to share the day-to-day management and growth of a dedicated civil engineering team. Here, you’ll have the chance to work on large and interesting residential, commercial, industrial and public sector projects, gaining valuable experience in supporting and developing the civil engineering capability at the Birmingham office.

Civil Infrastructure Engineer duties:

• Run concurrent civil engineering schemes
• Design of infrastructure works including highways and earthwork elements using PDS / AutoCAD
• Design of drainage, sewer and SuDS using MicroDrainage WinDes
• Supervise and brief Graduate Civil Engineers and Civil CAD Technicians
• Assist the Director in developing the civil engineering team/capability
• Liaise with housing developers, clients, project teams, and local authorities
• Visit site and attend meetings

Civil Infrastructure Engineer experience:

• 6+ years’ post-qualification civil infrastructure engineering experience
• Prepare drainage and highway designs in relation to S104, S106 and S278
• Knowledgeable of relevant codes of practice, design standards, building regulations and H&S legislation
• Civils 3D, PDS and MicroDrainage (WinDes) design competency
• Flood Risk Assessments – desirable
• Civil Engineering at masters level – desirable
• Chartered member of the Institution of Civil Engineers (MICE), or similar, or working towards chartered engineering status – desirable
