Winners announced on £750m housing framework

Great Places Housing Group has awarded spots on its £750m Innovation Chain North (ICN) framework to 30 contractors.

Caddick Construction, Lovell Partnerships, Seddon, Vistry Partnerships and Engie Regeneration are among the 30 contractors awarded places across 12 contracting lots on the 23-lot framework. These are divided into eight housebuilding, two groundworks and two modular lots.

A further 83 companies were awarded places on the 11 remaining lots covering consultancy, design and architecture, and clerk of works.

A total of 726 bids from 183 companies were received, ICN said. The framework, which will run for four years, will support the delivery of new homes across the north of England, covering developments by Great Places and other housing associations in the region.

Engie Regeneration won places across six of the 12 contractor lots, while Manchester-based PLP Construction won six places.

Great Places director of development Helen Spencer said: “The new framework will ensure we, and our peer organisations, have tried and tested partners to help us deliver our extensive development programmes and our collective ambitions to tackle the housing crisis.”
